I would like to give all concerned voters of Oshkosh something to think about. No matter what happens on April 5th, whether the referendum is defeated or if it passes, this fight will continue. We have seven school board members and not a one of them represents the views of the Oshkosh taxpayers. Go on-line and take a look at the questions these School Board members were asked by the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce while they were running for office. Each member made it perfectly clear that they believed well compensated teachers were the key to student success. Remember these are the people who were responsible for the hiring of Stan Mack for School Superintendent. Make no mistake about it Stan Mack was brought here for one reason and one reason only to pass referendums which increase the tax dollars the district has to spend.
If you go to the website 281 Exposed and type in ‘Stan Mack’ as the subject you will get a better understanding of what occurred under Stan’s watch in the Robbinsdale School District. By the time Stan retired the people of Minnesota could not get rid of him fast enough. Go to the website and judge for yourself. At Monday’s meeting at Robbins Stan did not refute the numbers given by Representative Schraa. The numbers that show State funding for the Oshkosh School District increased in the 2014-2015 State Budget by 4.7 percent. In the 2015- 2016 budget the State aide for the Oshkosh district increased by 5 percent. On Saturday the 19th Stan was down at the Oshkosh Farmers Market telling anyone who would listen why we need to have our taxes increased. Completely ignoring the information provided on Monday. Like it never happened.
Oshkosh, “We Have a Problem”. This will not stop until we address the problem. Go to the Oshkosh Area School District web site and look up the School Board members. All their information is listed there. Call them and write to them and tell them they need to start representing your interests. If they do not respond to your interests they need to go. Along with Stan and the rest of the Administration that believes they should be given a blank check by the citizens of Oshkosh. The power rests with the voter. This is what our founding fathers envisioned. Every vote counts. Stand up and be heard Oshkosh. Vote No on April 5th. We can then turn our attention to the real problem.
