Looking in to OASD’s finances and budget is like peeling an onion. Every layer you find something new that makes you want to cry.
Although I stopped at 20 Facts in my main post that doesn’t mean their aren’t other good reasons to vote no.
21. OASD was independently audited in 2015. What that means is they paid a firm to come in and audit them. Early 2015 OASD stated there was a potential $4.7 million short fall in the budget. After the Audit was complete not only was there no short fall but the tax levy went down. Does anyone else find this a little too convenient? OASD’s budget problems in 2015 miraculously corrected themselves before the audit and our taxes went down. Fast forward 1 year and we’re back in the hole? I think not.

There have been too many times I have come across things like this. The inconsistencies keep mounting and they can not all be chance or a misunderstanding. There are too many unanswered questions to trust OASD with more money. We certainly can’t trust their evaluation of the budget projection for the next 2 years if we can’t get straight, honest answers on a budget already in the books.
